Today one of the Teachers brings her class in to look up into on biography reports. This teacher also happened to be my 4th grade teacher....lets just say she really leans to the left.

She has 18 students in her class...of the 18

3 are doing Ronald Regan

2 are doing George W Bush

1 is doing George H Bush

1 is doing Nancy Reagan

1 Teddy Roosevelt

1 Laura Bush

1 Colin Powell

I thought it was a pretty strange thing that alot of them were doing the same, so I asked them why they picked them....all had differant and pretty detailed reasons....so it wasent a case of follow the leader or Mom and Dad said I should.....One of the kids even recited from memory

"There is one sign the Soviets can make that would be unmistakable, that would advance dramatically the cause of freedom and peace.

Damn near brought a tear to my eye LOL

The funny thing was watching how frustrated this girl and all the other's doing "non-political" figures became when they couldn't find their people in Encarta.

Though Mike Bibby did have a paragraph.

Wow. People still use Encarta?

Seems like picking a young person is already a bad idea for a bibliography. Pick Reagan and you have like 50 years of stuff to talk about. Pick Hilary Duff and you have like 10 at best.
