From a fun thread to an all out flame war.

This idea may be stupid, but I am bored at work and thought about this. Lets see if it goes over well.

I decided to host the first ever FLG Forum Awards. There will be 10 catagories.

This thread is for the nominees, and the finals will be done as a poll.

The nominees end on Sunday 2/26 at 11:59 pm.

Rules:
1. You cannot submit yourself.
2. Submit as many times as you like
3. Don't submit a name or thread if it is already posted, that would be pointless.
4. The catagory finals will be 10 seperate thread polls.
5. The nominees will stop after 10 submissions per catagory, 10 is the max on any poll (forum rules, not mine).
6. 4 catagories are on threads, so do some research.
7. Be sure to post the catagory with your nominee, I won't play any guessing games.
8. On the thread catagories, provide the link of the thread you are referring to.
9. You can answer some or all of the categories. Please number your responses accordingly.

Enervate, would you please point out where I have personally attacked HP in any thread outside of the political playpen? You will not be able to, because I havent.I havent even mentioned his name in months now.

It has literally been months since I have said anything about HP,simply because he has not been posting his political propaganda .I have never "personally" attacked him, as you say. Everyhting I have ever said or directed at HP he has earned through either baiting or just plain ignorance of the situation, kinda like telling me to quit being a chickenhawk and join the army, and not taking the time to inform himself of the fact that I spent 8 years in the Army.

I have animosity towards HP for making uninformed,propaganda like posts (my opinion) and I am not the only one on these forums who thinks that.I believe in slapping down foolishness and misinformation any time it rears its ugly head, I find it offensive.

I have never received any warnings from any of the FLG staff about my behavior towards HP.I think mostly because they know that he earned 90% of the bashing he got from saying and doing the things he was doing.

One point I would like to make is that I never personally attacked HP, I attacked his ideas, his thinking, his attitude and general lack of truth in the statements that he makes.I never told him he was fat, or ugly or smelled bad.

I have no "personal" animosity towards HP based on the fact that I do not "personally" know him.

That has been my sig since HP went on the crazy little posting jag in the playpen that brought about all this drama. The sig is in response to several bush bashing sigs that HP was using at the time.He had been posting successive amounts of liberal/democratic propaganda/bullshit and I responded by refuting and destroying said propaganda, hence the sig. I just havent removed it, although it probably is about time since I won the battle and the war is over :)

I say we have a special catagory for all people who quote statistics without knowing any of the poll parameters makeing the data utterly worthless. For instance, if you pick a low z star score cigs become healthy. I have seen this happen at least 8 or 9 times, and everytime it is annoying as hell. Basically without knowing the poll parameters and the margin of error, and a few other keys pieces of information, you can make anything look true, Im sure we could even make flg look like it is a bunch of healthy guys who dig computers of course that might be a bit of a stretch. ;)
