For FLG#2 (and beyond!) I have setup a FLG FTP server for our events. This will be THE location that we put files for everyone to get there hands on. It will be running off one of our Gig Fiber ports so bandwidth won't be a problem. The name of the machine is FLG...so it should be too hard to find! (Don't worry Area51...I will leave a set of breadcrumbs for you to find it.)
It will have both a FTP Server running and FileShares open to the directory's. There will also be an upload section for people to transfer files too. Please use this space so your machine doesn't get slammed during game play. Also...make sure your machine has been virus scanned PLEASE! If I find someone uploading infected files I will hunt you down and cut your heart out with a spoon! :hittard:
I am also going to try get a StrangeSearch server running this box. That way everyone can use it to search fileshares on the lan. If anyone has any experience setting up a StrangeSearch server let me know. You might be able to save me reading the instructions. :D
