And here are some more pix - I moved this from the desktop thread :)
Not sure if it's a GT500 or not, but it has the new Ford crate motor in it.
Ford is showing off their new crate motor at SEMA this year.. and what better way to show it off then put it in 3 crazy cars. first off, some info about the new engine..
* Ford Racing Performance Parts new 5.0L "Cammer" EFI V8 crate engine features 420 horsepower and "plug-and-play" engine electronics.
* Additional 5.0L "Cammer" variants include a carbureted version and a supercharged and intercooled V8.
* Ford Racing showcases the new "Cammer" in three new performance projects: Focus RS8, 1965 Mustang Fastback, and a 1953 Ford F-100 Panel Truck.
LAS VEGAS, Nov. 4, 2003 - At today’s Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show, Ford Racing Performance Parts (FRPP) took the wraps off three in-house hot rod projects powered the company's all-new 5.0-liter "Cammer" V-8 crate engine - which will be available from a FRPP dealer or warehouse distributor beginning by year's end.
Ford’s "Cammer" cars displayed at SEMA - the 420 horsepower rear-wheel drive Focus RS8, a 420 horsepower carbureted 1965 Mustang Fastback, and the 600 horsepower supercharged FR100 Panel Truck - are the ultimate expressions of true hot rodding: big engines in fantastic-looking packages. They use Ford factory performance technology melded with the ingenuity of hot rod thinking to deliver world-class power in thoroughly modern packages.
"We've said all along that we intend to grow the interest in overhead-cam technology," said Dan Davis, director of Ford Racing Technology, in explaining the "Cammer" project cars. "There's no reason why a crate engine can't start, run and perform in an aftermarket setting as well as the engines in today's production automobiles and trucks. We see the 5.0-liter "Cammer" crate engine as the future for tuners, project-vehicle builders and aftermarket car and truck enthusiasts."

ehhhhh torn.. On one hand it's cool to have this $$$$$$$ ride but then with it comes a HUGE pain in the ass of watching where you park it. Never mind being a target for all sorts of other junk being odds are a guy in a $100,000+ car has other stuff, others want to steal.
Errrrr I'd be happy with a Viper or maybe just a Z06 Vette or a normal Vette.. I know the Vette is sort of a yawn as far a so called dream car being they are with in reach but they also just blend into the crowd. Not sure I want to be getting gas for the car and have people walking up and talking to me about my ride etc..
Lotto cars for me
Viper
Z06 Vette (for winter/rainy weather)
Fullsize Chevy Blazer (for everyday stuff)
Plates of ZKSTKR1,ZKSTKR2,ZKSTKR3 of course.. :scared:

Sure sports cars are nice, but when you want to haul your friends to a LAN w/ all their gear, you aren't going to be doing it in any of those cars. Plus, you can pull the seats out of the back and sleep in it if need be. Good for those all night LANs where people tend to mess with you while you sleep if you sleep in the house. It can also tow a boat.

Look I'm sure your parents have given up on your brother INactivemonkey, being his only hope with women it to is grab whatever girl goes near his tent.. You are their only hope damn it!!
NO FUCKING MINI VAN!!! I mean buying a mini van with lotto money is what you do as joke for a freind.. Ya know being if I offered a brand new and FREE mini van to Hoss or Area51.. damn right they would take it.. heck I would too but in the back of their mind it's going be "Geee thanks, ya bought me a mini van you bastard!!"
At least get some sort of SUV 4x4 or whatever.. ANYTHING other then a damn mini van.. I mean not a BMW X5, RangeRover, Hummer, Cadillac Escalade etc etc etc.. No you posted mini van..
Cut your nuts off now and put them next to the jar Mykul's wife keeps his.. you're never going to need them. :alien: hehe
An H2 is on my list right after the Escalade EXT with spinner dubs. I'd probably opt for the EXT anyway since Skylines aren't street legal in the US.
Hell I'd take the van, drive it like an asshole, mount a giant magnet on the front to collect shopping carts, and have a fire hose out the back for that jackass tailgaters.

Uh, not a real boat. 3800lbs might let you pull one, but you're screwed if you have to pull a real boat out of the water on a steepish boat ramp...
3800 lbs might get you a nice little toy -- but a mid-range ski boat (eg, Mastercraft X10) weighs 3100 lbs by itself, and then 1000 lbs for the trailer.
You'd burn the weenie Minivan engine out if you tried to get that out of the water! :)
(heaven forbid you want a real boat like the X30, 3300 lbs with a 1700 lb trailer)

Since we're dreaming, throughout college, I'd always wanted the Vector W2 TwinTurbo. Estimated top speed of 240 mph.
They refined it, and later came out with the W8 TwinTurbo. A bit slower - but 218mph would still get me to Salt Lake City in 3 hours! Of course, they later came out with things like the WX-3 (850-1200 hp, 260mph) in 1993...
Read about the history of Vector Aeromotive (http://www.vectoraeromotiveclub.com/)...

Yeah, I thought about the tomohawk for this thread, but the thing looks damn near impossible to ride for any reasonable period of time. Plus, it will never really be as far out as the Y2k bike being anyone can just throw an even bigger conventional motor on a bike and make it really huge, but this one has a freaking jet turbine in it and still manages to look like a normal ride.

not really the cars fault, almost all cars from the early mid 80's suck.. Just due to all the smog stuff getting forced on the cars before the tech was ready..

it can't turn at all and one of the main things bike have going for them is how well they turn and chew up the roads.. I read some write up by like one of only a handful to ever really ride the thing.. It was like for an ad or something, anyways they tell him "DO NOT try to turn it".. Of course he did think he could do a sweaping turn and I guess he almost dumped it just looking to lean a little bit at all..
I DO thing something like that in bastard trike like set up would be interesting.. Don't see to many of those trike bike anymore.... Never mind a really fast modern one.. Errrr of course not really a market for them I would guess.....

yeah but bottom line is that sooner or later you will be able to get the car you really, really want (if ya still want it then).... Vs say something like 100g car :) I'm in the same boat being I really just want a newer vette.. So ya fig darn near all the c5's look more or less the same I don't have to buy a new one, a 2000 model would be fine..
someday... reachable goal!! heh..
As I've said before most do NOT "save" to buy a $100,000 car... Very few ever do that, people we see in them, odds are could have just paid cash for the ride.. It's just another level of money throwing..

The Camaro is cool, except for the gayified rims on it. Nothing like taking an American muscle car and tossing BLING BLING ghetto rims on it. "It's on DUBS bi-0tch!!!!eleven!!!!11!12"
Lame... I comend Ford for putting the brushed aluminum Bullet rims on the GT Mustangs recently. Keep the classic just that. Don't fuck it up.
