Ok here is my problem. My friends thought that it would be really funny to set a password into my Bios. Well now i can't get in. And of course none of them remember what it is. It happened a little while ago and i just tried to get into the bios but of course i can't. Does anyone know if it saves somewhere on the harddrive or if thier is away to get rid of the password. Please help.

It's on the mobo 99% of the time. There should be a jumper you can move to the 'other' 2 pins and it will clear your BIOS. What is the model/mfr of your board?

It is a Soyo Dragon kt333 Platinum Edition.

Have you hit Soyo's site for their online manual? It tells you exactly how to reset the BIOS.

Unplug the PSU. Take the battery out for a couple of seconds. Put it back together. Boot the board, go into the BIOS, put things back where they were.

Done.

You should do the same to their computers. Itll make them think twice from tampering with your computer in the future

I think you should kick their ass for it. That kind of stuff is messed up.

Even better, download some "questionable" pictures from their PC then notify the FBI....Believe me, they'll laugh about it for at least 5 to 10.

I think people that do this are hilarious. Not only does everyone know what you're "supposed" to be saying, but you sound like an idiot when you replace certain letters with something else (unless the board filtered certain words, which this one doesn't). It's as if you think that by substituting parts of them you can get that clear conscious you need. If you're going to use a word, then use it. Otherwise, just say something else.

I'll do it for you: fucking, fuck, fucking shit.

used to have a log of about 2 days from my old highschool teachers computer that I added in there as "bonus software" when I was setting up microsoft works on his computer *he hd me playin "admin" while he had lunch*

not only had every password for the schools networks, but a 30 min conversation with the french teacher which was rather... erm.. interesting
