Can you believe this shit. Hope there isn't anybody here who live in the city of San Francisco, Prop H that just passed will ban the possession of handguns in the city. No grandfather clause, no exemptions, just turn your CONSTITUTIONALLY PROTECTED guns in or they'll come pick them up. Fucking bullshit. That goddamn city needs to be walled off and left to their own devices.

Yeah, that's pretty shitty - but what can you expect from a hippy community like SF? I agree with you about walling that bitch infested city off.

No, only the ones that shit on one of the most basic rights of this country. Seriously... if the population in SF is that stupid to ban handguns from law abiding citizens then it should be walled off and they can all live in the shit hole they create with no chance of escape. I wonder is Feinstein is going to give up her gun that she carries? That's right folks... one of the states most vocal proponents of gun control carries a weapon everyday having one of the 8 concealed carry permits that have been issued in SF. But she'll hand it over won't she?

Jesus christ.... you're getting as bad as "Honest"player. As for your points, let try not get off topic here please, try this....

You can't get a tattoo or a piercing without your parents permission if you are under 18..... but you can get a major medical procedure. Does that make sense to you or do you think that parents shouldn't have any say in what their CHILDREN can do?

As for ID.... I could really give a shit. Teach it, don't teach it.... but put evolution in there as well. If you can teach ID without focusing on one religion, basically keeping it very general, then I'm all for it. There is nothing to say that ID and evolution are contradictory. Hell.... it might even get kids to think a bit.

Disagree here, though I think that all weapons should be leagilized, barring explosive devices. You should NOT be able to own weapons if you are a convicted felon, or have a history of mental illness. You get convicted you lose your rights, it's that simple. In my opinion the constitution is a contract, and if you break that contract, you do not get to live under it's protection.

getting pregnant = +

getting pregnancy taken care of = -

you go to the store to get a tatoo = capitalism
you go to the store to get a piercing = capitalism

you dont go to the store to get pregnant = BIOLOGY

Actually while I agree with you on the lameness of the law, handguns are not a constitutionally protected item. The consitution only protects the "right to bear arms", it does not say what arms, just arms. This is the same reason that assualt weapons are banned. It withstands the court challanges, as you still can go out and buy another weapon such as a shotgun. And SF is not the first city to do this. I believe Washington DC has the same law already on it's books.
Better watch out though, or pretty soon the only arms you'll be able to legally have are muskets....

As for the consitituion being a contract... it's not... it's a guarantee according to the intent of the founding fathers. But if it was a contract then fine... the ones who break the contract are government and police. Most convictions come as a result from state laws not federal laws being broken....

the problem with this is San Fran, unlike the other cities with the ban, does not have this huge gun crime problem in the first place or at least not to the level of the other cities that banned them..

this was just another one of those touchy feely bs laws that city likes to pass

as for the abortion law that, thankfully failed here the other day, it was more a case of looking to chip away at a woman's right to choose then it was about parents being told.. Classic chip chip chip away move as it looked to add to the state constitution a line that would said abortion is "the death of the unborn child, a child conceived but not yet born"

giving a foothold for more BS legal challenges on what is really a female heath issues so not sure why men vote on it in the first place.. We all know if men got pregnant there would be no issue being even the idea we could not get an abortion would get you shot with a handgun, even in san Francisco.

It also doesn't specifically state that handguns aren't covered. You're taking a very exclusive view of the language; I'm more prone to believe it should be read inclusively - it's not out, it's in. Banning handguns is absurd. Next it will be rifles, as you can kill deer with shotguns. Then it will be shotguns, as you can kill deer with arrows.

Reasonable people can debate about assualt rifles - I personally see no reason to ban them, but hey, I understand the viewpoint. Handguns are a different matter entirely to me.

HAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!

Agree 100%. Cut the bridges, & watch the rest float away.... I wish.

That place is pathetic. Went there two weekends in a row for Niners games, and both times along the way I either saw a MAN with big fake breasts walking down the street or some billboard of male prostitution. ***And people want to live there???*** WTF?

Now Los Angeles is pretty bad, but not to the extreme that SF has become.

I had to work across the street from some Transgender counseling center organization or something and I was tempted to walk in there to see what sort of bathrooms they had. Did they have a mens, womens and other or perhaps just a Unisex bathroom. I never did go in there the question will have to be debated for the ages.

there was a point in time when rights mattered
a point when owning a weapon was possible, and when homeland defense, meant defending the home, Not restricting it beyond reason because of the paranoia of what if? What if my neighbor goes crazy? i'm not a very good shot, and really would prefer rather than putting effort into hitting a target that they not be allowed to possibly freak out and kill people. Maybe your riding a bike and get hit by a car and die because you don't have a helmet, and maybe your ejected from your car because your not wearing a seatbelt.. and we can't let the kiddies see that. It'll cost us.. something or other.

There was a point in time when i truly believed we live in the free'est(is that a fucking word?!) country in the world. until I realized that we can't own what we want (unless we have enough money) we can't exercise our freedoms (unless we have the money to handle the lawsuits from conciencius objectors) our "vote" means less than a streak of shit in someones undies, there is not a single right on the "bill of rights" that someone has said, "they didn't mean THAT it's not included, now illegal, sorry" Children who work are taxed.. without the right to vote (taxation without representation anyone..)

america is a corporate whore, sham votes and useless debates about what small pieces of our rights havn't been stripped and raped like a school boy in a japan tentacle rape anime while entertaining is like masterbating a dog.. they're just not the right species, and if they were close, you are a part of the cure, destroy yourself to be a bigger part please

now your going to say that I am exercising my "freedom of expression" sorry, that freedom was given to me by the country called the internet, screaming about how worthless this country is in public will get you arrested "for your own protection" because you can't carry a firearm to do it for you anymore

Hell I have enough swords, axes, and knives to arm at least 20 people. I unfortunately lack bludgeons and need to invest in a mace. I realized that the other day with the commotion outside. Don't want to bring a knife or the axe. Can't exactly incapacitate people with those, but a good bludgeon, even if taken away form you in the fight is not the end of the world....
