honestplayer and Bill Lockyer last year at my labor day picnic

My guy Bill Lockyer, CA Attorney General orders a probe into profiteering!

Because America's most-populous state gets none of its crude oil and very little refined product from the hurricane-devastated Gulf of Mexico, California Attorney General Bill Locker said, retailers should not be using the disaster to explain a spike in prices.

Yeah. Right.

A "probe". As long as it's a news-worthy subject, and gets a politician's name in the paper, a "probe" is about all that will happen.

actually it was Lockyer's probe into the electricity shortages some time back that uncovered all those documents and even that taped message of us getting screwed and helped recover alot of money.

he has the power to seize and demand by order all evidence which i hope will show something behind all this - but yea - it takes a long time since there is often ALOT of stuff to look though.

Sure we might not get anything from Louisiana, but many of the areas that do get oil from those refineries are now turning to sources that they normally don't recieve from. Being that there are only so many ways to get a drum o' crude, they are taking a lot out of our normal supply chain, which means prices go up for everybody. To have a disaster of this scale land right on top of a major port and refinery and then not expect your prices to go up is rediculous.
