Go here (http://www.slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?threadid=5092) for info.

Don't forget to click on the rebate links. There are two: one for $30 from Maxtor and one for $25 from Office Depot. Add in the $20 instant rebate and it's $75 off.

That cant be right, can it?

OfficeDepot has the Maxtor 160GB 8MB Cache Hard Drive for $150 - $20 off coupon code 59028734 - $30 rebate - $25 rebate (send upc copy) = $75 w/ free shipping. Thanks sunson23.
Update: Get it for $25 after rebate using the stackable coupons.

1. Add the Hard Drive to cart.
2. Apply coupon code 051257696
3. Apply coupon code 059028734
4. Apply coupon code 026762153
5. Apply coupon code 042407451
6. Check out.

Final price is $150 - $70 coupons - $55 rebate = $25.

I ordered 2, but they are on back order.

Is this accurate? I hope it's not showing a price because of the back order status.

The coupons work, but it is on back order. Wait a day or so, as the coupons are good till early December. I did get a drive last night. It was $140and will end up $85 after I get the rebates. Still not a bad deal.

Ok, I played a little game with OD, just to see how the coupons stack. They have a 60GB drive for $108, stack on these coupons and it would be $38 before rebates. So I tried it and the best you can get is $30 off. 3 of the coupons are for $100 or more purchases, and they check the total you are paying as they apply each coupon. the 1st coupon drops the price paid to $88 and the 2nd coupon won't validate. The 4th coupon is for $50 purchases, so it will work, leaving the price at $78. That's not a great price, but probably not bad for a 60GB drive.

Hmm... except that the coupons are for one drive (time) only -- so it looks like you will get one drive for $25, and have to pay full price for the 2nd!

Plus, often the mail-in rebates are good for only one time per person (and often just one per address).

Your best bet might be to cancel your order, re-order one in your name, and one in someone else's...

I had just started to do just that.:D

Thanks.

Hopefully it won't be backordered too long!

The coupons won't stack. You can add them in, but they won't validate.

They must have fixed their code to stop multiple coupons.

I can't get any of the coupons to stack. Since the HD is out of stock I figured I'd try using them for a DVD-R drive, which I've been wanting to get, but it just won't accept more than one of them...

I got my order in at like 11:03 am. According to my friend who also submitted his, he read somewhere else that all orders before 11am will be honored. Not sure if that was basically about the time the coupons were "corrected" or what.

Take it with a grain of salt - I have not seen any official Orifice Depot statement.

I did receive my confirmation e-mail at 11:05am this morning...

Hopefully I'll get this -- if so, it will bring my home's storage to 750 GB :D

I'd be willing to bet that all the backorders become "backordered awaiting cancellation". I've been watching this for a day or so, and it doesn't look like they are outright cancelling....yet.

Mine is scheduled for delivery tomorrow...

$86 (including taxes).

$30 and $25 rebates. Only issue, is both rebates require an original UPC, not photocopy. But, slickdeals.net said send photocopy to $30 rebate - which I'll probably do, along with a detailed explanantion about the 2 rebates thingy.

Now mine is magically in the "Delivery Refused" state - even though it never shipped. Called customer swear-vce, and was told that it was deleted because of "improper use of coupons".

Apparently all were. Maybe some shipped before... but not anymore.

However, my friend called customer relations and the chick there created a new order for him and gave him a $70 credit to equal the price. He got lucky. I called the same number, got a dude, who would not do anything except honor one coupon. He got lucky, I lost.

Selfishly: RIGHT ON, now I feel better that I was late to the punch.

As your friend: That's B.S. Vita. Did you try and call back and maybe get that same girl your buddy got? You know the old saying, if you complain loud and hard enough, someone will hear.

Didn't bother to call back. At over 600 GB already in my casa, I did not really need the 160 GB drive...
