I have a D-link router and was wondering if anyone knows of any good documentation out there on how to setup VPN, Virtual Port (for FTP server), etc.

Which model do you have? They are all pretty similiar though and should be easy to setup. The one key thing though is you need to make sure you have the most current firmware load.

The best, most complete, easiest to follow instructions I've seen are here:
Windows XP VPN Server (http://www.onecomputerguy.com/networking/xp_vpn_server.htm)
Everything is pretty self-explanitory... and I agree with Bullfrog on the firmware. Our router wouldn't work with winfirst, I think it was a d-link too, then I updated the firmware and everything magically started working.
Thanks for the info! I got a DI-704P D-link router. I will check on my Firmware version.

I have that same D-link router, it works pretty well, and most of the settings on it can be figured out with a little bit a messing around…The only thing that it was never able to do for me is large Mail merges for letter labels…don’t know why, it would just lock up…anyway, who the hell wants to do mail merges anyway! :hittard:

Well, there is a BIG difference between HAVING to do a Mail Merge and WANTING to do a Mail Merger… :tard: :D
