ok, I've been thinking that well since I have to basicly redo my whole page anywho (going to have to reconfigure most of my scripts and such) I may as well see if anyone knows of any niftayness
what i'm looking for:
scripts (preferably php) that will do the following:
1. webcomic/blog script, A script that will archive the comics and add a blog to each one for me
2. Ad script, create a rotating random banner ad
3. counter script, Something that will only count unique hits
4. Some sort of backend review script that will allow a person to write a review on a product and use a sort of star system
5. Notification script
6. a random quote/picture generator
yeah.. all that

Why do you need an ad script? Are you actually running a site busy enough to need advertising revenue?
I hate it when people think it is somehow fashionable to have ads on their site when they don't need them.

if your asking wether or not I actually get revenue off of it yet, would be nice, but no
but if I run across something that I think would be nice to share with my audience as a whole, but not quite enough to warrent a permanent spot next to my blog, that's when I toss it in there.. as well as when people ask me for a link exchange
only a measley views a day for now, but we all gotta start somewhere

I think most web-surfers find banner ads to be annoying.
But whatever, yea, I guess eventually you'd need them.

well, you could always check here (http://www.cmsinfo.org/). who knows, you may find everything you're looking for all rolled into one package! ;)
as a side note, i personally hate nuke/nuke clones (phpnuke, postnuke, etc.). one CMS i used a while back and actually liked (although it's been well over a year since i've looked at it) is Geeklog. they have a link to it at the cmsinfo.org site

Geeklog owns. I like the functionality, and the ability to "mold" it to do what YOU want it to do. It is pretty secure and has a big community of users that are very helpful.
Dunno - I like it

ok, glorified msg board.. heh
but for your page it works... yours is a gaming page, having it look the way it does fits(everything in it's place ready to be moved, edited or changed) basicly it doesn't look static... fine for a page based solely off of information
but could you imagine having a comic set in that middle box every day? the comic that is supposed to be the centerpiece of your page ends up looking just kinda tacked on, and temporary
maybe that's just me

yeah, i suppose that makes sense - I'm tryin to think of some kind of gallery app that would fit your needs - yet I'm drawing a blank :(

I kbow of a few gallery type things, and they're all very open ended (paste code here for next, etc etc) it's linking in the rating/specific text to itthat gets wonkey

thinking I'm just going to have to see if I can hack my current script to do it... php doesn't like me though, stupid variables don't like doing what they're supposed to... vary
