Thanks to  fishmonger I have at least ghetto hd on the cpu.. still 1000x better then SD crap on show that are ment for HD.. Normal "tv" is still ok for normal stuff but if it ment to be shown in widescreen I can't stand watching it pan/scan cut down.
but being most stuff is still filmed and ment for SD it's not that big of a deal if the show is not in HD.. Only a mater of time til everything swaps over..
I mean just look at Battlestar Star on a few days go? Awwww yeah.. That in 4:3? Pass.. We can't swap over to 16x9 fast enough..

I only watch OTA HD.
The Dish PVR HD reciever is just a bit too rich for my blood right now.

I'll join in the HD love-fest as well. I've got both the full setup in my living room - 50" DLP, HD DVR, etc. I've also got an HD card in my computer that I use to transfer OTA HD to DVD. I don't watch SD anymore, at all, ever... unless it's the Cartoon Network, I make an exception for that.

 That's worth the compromise!
I also have HDTV - via DirecTV and OTA. The antenna sits in my attic (on a rotor) so I can get NY and Philadelphia stations.
We bought a Toshiba 65H84 (http://www.tacp.toshiba.com/televisions/product.asp?model=65h84) about 2 years ago. I still haven't made a move on an HD TiVo though...but NFL Ticket in HD was sweet!!

I've got a 65" Mitsubishi HD, Comcast HD and OTH (had to buy a tuner because the TV is only HD ready). I'm in the market for a DVR that I can hook up to the output of my Comcast box.

Well, it looks like my wife has the same HD obsession disease that Area has. I was NOT going to increase my Comcast bill by $50/month just to get an HD DVR, but it seems she's willing to pay the extra and has scheduled them to bring one out next week. She says she got a better deal, but she hasn't given me the details yet. :twitchy:
