Went and seen it yesturday. I thought this movie kicked some serious ass!!! Havn't seen a good bloody, gothic movie in a long time.

Besides, I thought the chick was waaaaay hotter than the chick in the Matrix.

Anyone else seen it?

If I can find a couple free hours to go see a movie I will...

i thought it was okay. i would have rather not spent $8.50 and waited till Netflix. It was so stereotypical. I can't name how without giving away plot, but IMO I could have been watching Blade or Matrix (but with werewolves and vampires).

My problem is vampire movies have become completely stereotypical and predictable.

Saw it....thought it was "okay", and glad that I did a matinee.

Agreed......waaaaaay hotter than Matrix chica, but would've been greatly improved with copious amounts of nudity.

Some interesting plot twists. Definately worth renting/ripping....

yea Kate Beckinsale is a hottie.... as for the film, not bad I think it will be a good DVD to pick up.... more replay value in action films anyways, IMO...

Good points. If I had to choose, I would rather be a Vampire. I like living an upper class life with the ability to eat all the finest chica's in the world. I think it would be cool

dear lord I want to kill the people who made this movie.... out of the last 8 "vampire" movies released this one has finally jaded me.. I'll never go see another vampire movie in the theater again...

it took every single vampire movie made in the last 3 years and chopped and spliced their plots together.. oh, and let's toss in some hairy beasts to fight as well ala american werewolf style..

blade2 - "the daywalker" + Dracula 2000 + matrix knockoff effects - freeze frame spinny shots + Shadow of the vampire - anything vaguely creepy about the old vampire + queen of the damned - wb effects + American werewolf in paris - paris X blatant stupidity = this movie

Mayhaps I'm too much of a fan of the genere but for fucks sake can't anyone release a decent vampire movie that isn't just some ripoff of what was done before them?! Influences are fine and dandy but damn

Very good points. And yes, I felt the same thing. This was a well "shot" movie. IMO. Wasn't on a beer budget.

One of my favorite Vampire movies of all times was: Interview with a vampire, Tom Cruise.

Not sure why, but it was very believable and I just enjoyed it.

yeah the story telling was very smoothly done in that one, it has become rather "cliche" but then again.. it kinda started that whole thing.. well her books did,

the last vampire movie I watched that I actually thought.. this is kinda cool, was, vampires the one with the hunters that were after the vampires.. shit I have it, and I can't remember which author wrote the book they swiped to make it.. heh

It's a vampire movie. You know ahead of time that originality is not going to be bountiful because the genre has been played out. Seriously, what is left to do? That's why I don't make it a point to watch stuff like this in the first place.

I can't believe I paid money for this... It seemed like such a good idea at the time.
