USB memory is getting cheaper
Staples.com (http://www.staples.com/Catalog/Browse/SKU.asp?BCFlag=False&PageType=1&SKU=562824) has the SanDisk 1GB USB2.0 drive for $100, shipped free after $60 instant coupon (code#98755) and $30 rebate (http://www.staples.com/products/Rebates/07_24_04_562824.pdf).

yeah with mem dropping so much I wish the flash based mp3 players would crash down too.. I mean tech for tech the real only dif between a cheaper iriver 128 meg player and the 1 gig player is the size of the memory...
so a gig on a sandisk is down to $100 off rebates and they can make a profit off that, how does the mp3 player rack up around $225+ in cost to take the same jump in size for a mp3 player?! 128 meg = $120ish, 1gig = $355.. blah!!!
Yeah yeah yeah everyone loves the HD players and irvier makes a cool one too, 20 gig for around $280ish but I still like the flash based ones due to the super small size. Meh, guess I stick with my 256meg iriver for now..
