After watching the brand new doom 3 video on fileplanet...omg...I can't wait to play this thing. They revealed SOME scenes of how scary it can get and oh my...
Get ready for this thing...at the moment I just keep telling myself "3rd of august...3rd of august".

I can already tell that this game will be more frightening because the only instances I get to look at the monsters is when they are charging/eating me.
In the video if you kill them their bodies kind of burn up. This way you don't get to look at the monster face to face.

This happened in Far Cry, I saw one first time in a closed room, but once I killed it and I looked at it lying there, I was no longer frightened of it. In fact, it wasn't all that bad.

Time to reinstall Doom, Doom 2, and all the expansion versions. I wonder if my old floppies still work.....

I can't wait to play Doom 3. I've only ever played the original Doom but that’s pretty cool even with the crappy graphics. Now with Doom 3’s awesome graphics, it should be a tight ass game!

Hopefully it won't take long for someone to make a total conversion for Doom 3 with the original doom levels. Well, they'd have to do it in a way that doesn't change the enemies, physics, weapons, and especially not the music.

Hell, I'll just play through with the Doomsday engine again

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I got it today. Looks nice but gameplay is very linear in single player. Graphics all around are pretty stunning the sounds are done well. Some spooky stuff going on in the game. Multiplayer is kinda lame with only 4 players max and it seems a bit klunky. Weapons seem unbalanced as well. One lan wonder probably. I will sit down with it more when I get back to the States.

Yeh, I have been playing it today. Single player. I consider my machine to be above average and I'm running at 1024x768 It's a bit choppy. Especially when I open a door

Another thing that's kinda wierd, if you adjust your vid settings, they don't redraw. You have to close game and restart it

My god what does it take to get this game running at 50 fps?

Really scarey, lots of shit jumping out at you. I would love to turn my graphics up, but.

So far, not bad, I was actually expecting the graphics to be better.

I will say this...disappointed with the game but not surprised that I am disappointed with it. I did not have great expectations for D3 and it did not even meet those. I seriously doubt it will even make a single lan-wonder status...unless you consider a bunch of people playing a single-player for an entire lan.

Total waste IMO.

i just usually dont like single player games.

i dont reallly see what all the fuss is about, the graphics kinda remind of UT2 unless i turn on the flashlight and see stuff up close. but then again, why would anyone just want to see some door or wall upclose?

the creatures are kinda cool though.
