ESPN's Top 25 Sports Movies

Okay. Some of the things on this list are crap.

First of all they shouldn't have limited it to just the past 25 years.
That leaves out Rocky, which is a crime.

Secondly some of these movies shouldn't even be considered sports movies. Not because some of them aren't sports, totally different issue with me, but because they have only one or two scenes that even involve a sport.
For Example Jerry Maguire. Not a bad movie, but it had almost no sports scenes and was more of a movie on a guy getting with some babies momma.

Where's Varsity Blues or Any Given Sunday?
Days of Thunder?

Any of those three could have beaten Finding Forrester!!

I wouldn't call "The Color of Money' a sports film. I also would not have ranked 'Jerry McGuire" because I don't really see it as a true sports film. When did a sports-agent become part of a sport?

and rudy was a huge POS film..... Also I agree that a sports film should be about a sport.. if the end of the film is not "the game" then it is not a sports film.. "You had me at......." is not a sports moment..

Clearly that movie was only on the list to pander to women.. Strange, being there are no women online to vote over at espn.com anyways.

Yeah why is Jerry McGuire in there, and lamb i agree, Rudy wasn't that great. How can they leave out the classics like The first mighty ducks, LOL and bad news bears. Major League is a great movie so I am glad that one is on there.
Tin Cup was an alright movie.

If they are gonna have "The Color of Money"........They need to have movies like Rounders in there.......Rounders is better than 98% of those movies.

Bend it like Beckham made both lists! That was a great movie. So was Hoosiers, I had to watch it for film class one year. I also like that they included Chariots of Fire, which is not the first thing one may think of for a "sports" movie, although it clearly fits.

I know a guy who watched Rudy on the big screen and to this day, all these years later, he still will rage up at any mention of the film and rant about how much he hated it..

Ah feel the love..... I saw it on cable, I've watched worse but IMO it was pretty bad and too long.. Story is just not all that interesting to me..
