Well I thought it was really good. I definetely like the darker mood - makes for great ambience. I like the other 2 as well, but this one has a more grown up theme, as well as grown up characters...(must not mention Emma Watson...must resist.....) I never read the third book so I like all of the twists and turns the plot took. You can tell from the beginning that the movie has a totally different feel compared to the first two..

Anyway, I feel like I'm repeating myself now. I'll probably end up seeing it again before it leaves the theatres. Have fun kids, and remember, always wear protection.

Yeah the books tend to be the same way. Getting darker and darker as the series continues. Kinda growing with the reader....when you think of them as childrens books.

Gonna see this one Monday most likely. Heard people were showing up in robes and shit to see the movie....not sure whats more pathetic people dressing for this or for Star Wars.

just got back!!!!!

All I have to say is.................wow

this movie was truly amazing, I very much liked the darker atmosphere and felt that the new director (Alfonso Cuaron) was intune with the story.

Cant wait for Goblet of Fire :)

you dont have to be 6 to enjoy the movies or the books.

I originally bought the first book for my 10 year old daughter and she did not like it, so it sat on my shelf until I saw the first movie, which I loved, and I read the book. since then I have bought all 5 of the books and read each one cover to cover, and seen all the movies. I will be 29 this year and and it MY idea to go see the third movie with my daughter.
so dont make the mistake that you have to be a child or a girl for that matter to enjoy Harry Potter, all you have to do is enjoy a good story with good characters. Harry Potter transcends age..........at least for me:)

eh.. the first one was ok to watch as something different.. the second.. yeah, sure.. I almost fell asleep during the third.. but then again, I'm that guy in the back that said.. hrm, a hipogriph.. they shoulda used a liama noble then the big hairy guy says, it's a hipogriph

was an ok waste of a couple hours though, so I can't complain too much

bah! There was a very good part missing. Anyway, I thought the director did okay with what he could. The problem is the books are getting too damn long. The movie felt rushed to me. And I blame that on how long the books are. I shudder to think what they'll do with Goblet of Fire, if they actually make it into a movie. It's just too long and detailed to rush through.

I bought all 5 books from Amazon at the same time. They arrived and 3 days later I had finished reading all five. They are easy reads and entertaining.

Thats worse than reading books "Movie Books"....or "Books of the Film".

Your reading....a book based on a video game...its worse than my (Worlds of Power) Ninja Gaiden choose your own adventure book....What makes it better...is I could choose my own adventure LOL.

So you have no right to call anything about any books mister man!

Just HP3................I was massively disappointed.

To me the only comparison was Batman with no Tim Burton.

THe new director SUCKED!.......had more sweepingly beautiful shots of Hogwarts but ALOT less substance to the movie. And they used what...like 4 sets the entire movie. Bridge,Hagrids,Whompping Willow and Shreaking Shack?......all the rest had lil bit sets.

I missed the all the differant classrooms...the passing of time at school...the jugling of the adventure and classwork....the compitition between the houses. The GHOSTS! Where was John Cleese???...We see shots of the Headless Hunt...but where's the explanation?

Soooooooo many things missing.....The movie needed to be at least another hour longer for more details.

And Emma Watson is the only saving grace of the movie at all.....Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint seen to have the same acting chops as they had in the first movie....Emma is the only one of them that's improved...and by leaps and bounds by comparison.

Gotta say.....This is like watching two Sean Connery's and then a David Niven ((worst James Bond ever))

I dunno what you people are complaining about, I thought it was brilliant. The first two movies I enjoyed, but this one I absolutely loved. Of course, I haven't read any of the books so I didn't have any great expectations, nor any idea of how the plot was going to progress, but I thought it was very well done. It gave me hope for hollywood again after it had been shattered by some of the atrocities I've seen in the last few months.
