FS: Mac G4 CPU Upgrade 1.4GHz

Selling a "tested" Mac G4 (AGP Graphics, Gigabit E and Digital Audio version G4) Sonnet Tech CPU card. 1.4GHz with 2MB L3 Cache. Works fine.

Includes card, instructions and heat paste compound.

Maybe I should put the price... $250 (bout $100 off).

Might double check it. The one I have is the Encore/ST upgrade kit. It supports a HUGE list of G3's, G4's, cubes and other junk. Even if you're going from Dual to this one, it should fit.

What mac do you have?

Unfortunately, I have the old G3 Blue and White box with the 350 MHz proc in it. At first I thought it would work also, but then I saw this:

and it looks like you have to have a 500 MHz plus proc :mad:
Oh well, I spent a lot of money during my 7 days in Mexico and I prolly shouldn't throw that kind of money around until next payday anyways.

You can try it out if you want. It fit in a G4 450 single system, old board (1999 "Sawtooth") system so it still might work. I'll bring it to the LAN and you can check it out.

Not trying to push it on you, just looking for SOMEONE to make use of it.

Ok, that'll work. If no one hops on it by the LAN, I'll give it a shot and see if it'll work. Sure would be a helluv a hop up from the current 350 MHz... LOL

Yeah man, I figured that out when I brought the card home and read the directions in the box. I don't know why they didn't make it clear on their website that it is for G4 only.
Anyways, I still have the card so if you and Hoss work something out let me know. Else, I'll give it back to him next time I am up in Sac town.
