Well they have started the Batman movie called Batman Begins starring Christian Bale ( The Machinist, Equilibrium ) directed by Christopher Nolan ( Memento ).

Cast : I think Deadlamb will like the cast :D

Cast (in alphabetical order)
Christian Bale .... Bruce Wayne/Batman
Michael Caine .... Alfred Pennyworth
Morgan Freeman .... Lucius Fox
Rutger Hauer .... Mr. Earle
Katie Holmes .... Rachel Dodson
Cillian Murphy .... Dr. Jonathan Crane/The Scarecrow
Liam Neeson .... Henri Ducard
Gary Oldman .... James Gordon
Ken Watanabe .... Ra's Al Ghul
Tom Wilkinson .... Carmine Falcone

The story looks good and supposedly sticking to the comic instead of straying apart. Coming out on Jun 2005. Well they have released the picture of the car which I think looks wierd but will wait to see how it looks like down the road ( wonder how the plane is going to look like ):

has to be better then the last few batman films.. Hell those films were such train wrecks, anything will be better.. plus Christian Bale is a really good actor and of anything with Katie is a bonus.. errrr but then -points for Rutger Hauer..

oh he was the shit back in his Hitcher days but now.. errr man I thought he was dead already.. whoops..

Does the Batmobile afterburner still look like a Zippo when it lights up?

Rutger Hauer is not bad actor. Enervate I know what you mean, I was hopsing they would use the same car from the previous movies but I guess they could not I guess since they sold it off. I am afraid to see what the plane is going to look like even the cave. But overall I am thinking it is going to be a good movie much better than before. I wonder when they are going to release a photo of him wearing the bat suit. Yes I am fan of Batman. I used to own a lot of batman comics, than superman, iron man, xmen.

maybe that is just like the "truck" version of the Batmobile?! I don't really read the comic but going but the last few films there was "bat" version of all sort of crap...

No way that can be the only Batmobile in the movie!??! Of course, I'm only thinking truck being it's parked on a field..

Eh... movie car building has been all down hill after The Road Warrior!! I still want to see 2f2f Vs Mad Max.. Something like Paul Walker pulls up to a light, start to lip off at Max about a race. Max starts the blower, revs it up a few times.. Shoots the 2f2f driver int he face with his sawed off shotgun.. Turns off the blower, light turns green, he drives off slow..

yeah I own a few of his film.. back a few years ago (or many many years ago in the case of Blade Runner) he was a really good actor, now I think he just takes jobs to plunder the craft services table and goes past the motions on screen..

eh.. I think some how poncho thinks it's "Batass: the pounding of Katie"

Of course if that was the case, we all know how the film ends.. More or less something along these lines..

Oh you HAVE to see the last one!!! Batman & Robin (http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0118688/) is sooooooooo bad it's like watching a total B grade film.. Sep in the back of your mind you KNOW it's really a $100,000,000+ film.. Oh but in no way does it show on the screen..

Girl Monster's line about "plastic-boxey-ice-cube-thingy" is 100% right..

Yea...but there was one redeeming quality about Batman and Robin..... Alcia Silverstone in that wonderful outfit. It's all about the form fitting....well, whatever that material was. Damn she WAS hot.

If you want to see one the adheres to the comics see the orignal (and only good one) from 1960.

Of course I am little disturbed at grown men wanting to see men-in-tights fighting other men-in-tights in movies :poke:

When you say 'based on the comic' with Batman you have ask which version. The first & second movies were based of the Dark Knight version which is not the cartoon crap you got in the last couple of movies. If they keep this version dark and edgy it will turn pretty good given the cast that they have. If they go too cartoon'ish it is going to SUCK big time.

I like the Dark Knight version because Batman isn't really a 'good guy' in the classic sense. He is more like The Punisher who uses these techno-gadgets insted of guns & C4.

Ok, I haven't been following this discussion, but here is what I have to say.

First, Katie. -- enough said.
Second, what the hell is that on the pictures??? That thing looks more like a big 2020 year droid for Mars.
Seiously haha I actually laughing and was like WTF when I saw these pictures...common

Hahaha!!!

The guy who will be Bruce...hmmmm...interesting actor. Last time I saw him on my TV was in Psycho. I never saw him playing any good roles, this will be interesting to see how it will turn out on his acting part.
