Lanatic 9. This Lan will have 22 gamers enjoying a true "House Lan". We are bringing in our out of state chef for this event, yes your beloved Phukket and crew will be attending and BBQing for your enjoyment (check Lanatic 5 for the awesome pix of the BBQ). If that is not enough we are also turning the Garage Lan section of the house into a large crash room so you don't need a hotel, just bring a sleeping bag and your set. We have started collecting cool swag for this event so you will not walk away empty handed, everyone will get something! What else?

How about some tournaments! We will be hosting a UT 2004 1 on 1 DM tourney with a 1st and 2nd place prize. A Battlefield Vietnam tournament with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes to be given out. Lastly, we will be hosting an UT 2004 FFA Insta-Gib tournament with a 1st and 2nd place prize. If your L337 enough to show what you have then bring it! Entry to all tournaments are free and times are as posted below. Complete rules will be posted as the Lan gets closer. *

Quake 3 RA - Midnight Friday 5/21

BF Vietnam - Noon Saturday 5/22

UT2004 - 7 PM Saturday 5/22

Let's recap:

BBQ on Saturday at 5 PM (cost will be only to break even) food will be good stuff, tri tip, chicken, salads, breads, veggies, drinks etc. *real food!

3 tournaments

High Speed Internet (3.3 down / 240 up)

Camp out room in carpeted garage, showers available.

This Lan is Free! 18+, BYOB 21+, no drugs.

Lastly, Lanatic has instituted a Pay to Play registration. Read here for more on this great new registration requirement.

we dont give out the address or phone number until a week before the lan, and we do that in a group email to all the participants along with directions. Being thats this is held at a private house and having children,Xray3d, our illustrious leader, doesnt like posting his address and phone number on the internet, which Im sure anyone can understand.

The lan is based in Fresno,Ca
right off the 99 freeway, prolly about 2 to 2.5 hours from sac.

While I haven't messed around with tournaments in quite a while, the option of beating down some noobs for prizes does sound interesting. My only question is how you plan to decide on an individual winner. Total personal score from multiple games would seem like the only way, and in that case I would most definately win.

Xray3d usually runs the tourneys, I think he picked up a method from spec-ops on how to team score it, not sure. I will have him post over here tonite with how he does the scoring.

The tournament will add together scores over several rounds and then add them together. This will allow you to have a "bad" round and still have a chance to place in the top three positions if you have "good" rounds also. Prizes are to be determined based on swag sent from sponsors and Lanatic organizers. Ensure that you come to Lanatic for the fun not the prizes and you will have a great time. We love to throw a good free lan that allows you to really get to know those around you and unwind! If you have any other questions please stop by and post on the Lanatic site. my role here is one of conflict damn it!! Plus everyone like to talk the smack in the games.. It's part of the fun of FLG so I expect stuff like that from everyone here.. Even when they know damn well that it's really the same small group of geeks that win most every round/game over and over and over.. Still fun to talk bigger then your game can back up, as enervate clearly likes to do..
