I'm most likely going to be seeing the dry run tonight....So I can tell y'all about it before it opens Friday.

I've been watching the bad ass trailer (http://www.jurassicpunk.com/movies/thepunisher.shtml) for it every night.....counting the days till it opened....I hope it doesnt dissapoint.




But I liked the first version.............so i'm most likely not a great judge. :D

Oh you sick bastards! I am an old-school Punisher fan and I still have some serious comic collections for it. When I watched the first movie for 5 minutes, I knew it sucked. Hell, it never even made it into theaters!

- No Battlevan
- Totally wrong history for Frank Castle
- No Microchip
- Wasn't set in New York
- No crazy-tech military toys
- Punisher costume wasn't EVEN close...(shall I go on?)

Not to mention the acting sucked, the story was a joke and they made Castle out to be a wimp living in a sewer. AHHAHA that movie still pisses me off!

The first one is better. There are some decent scenese towards the end (two scenes I can think of).. but the way they told the story fucking sucked so much ass. Christ... who the fuck wrote this piece of shit? Ugg.. How the fuck does the Punisher live in a fucking apartment complex!??!?! WTF!?!?!

The movie was pretty bad ass....Anybody that has even a down syndrome understanding of comic books knows....This was the origin story.

This first movie was exactly that.....A first movie just waiting for its more exciting super bad ass sequel......It was alot like "This Is Frank Castle".....He wasn’t so much The Punisher yet.....but it lets you know at the end....That’s exactly who he is to become.

The Movie spent a good amount of time letting us care about Frank Castle and his family. So to alot of gung ho...all action no story kinda guys...the movie wouldn’t be that great.

I only had 1 problem with the movie at all......That was the music....The music during the entire movie was horrible. Other than that....the movie was great. But you will get the idea by about mid-way.......This kinda slow...and I wish it had more guns and explosions and shit....and you just know that the next one will be allllllll about that.

So I give the movie a B+......I have Hellboy a C........But I’m sure The Punisher 2 will get an EASY A+ because we don't have to learn about "Frank Castle".

I don’t really care whether or not it was true to the origin of the books.. I am more concerned with it being entertaining. I didn’t dislike the whole movie.. far from it. I like the last 2/5 of it.. it just didn’t get started fast enough for me. I’m not a huge fan of movies that set up for the sequel.. I paid to see The Punisher.. not the prequel to The Punisher 2.

God the music was just painful to listen to. You know the music’s good when you can’t really recall it (background music). All I did with the music in this flick was cringe. I mean.. fucking hell it sucked.


If and when they make a second part ill go and see it. I just hope there’s less unnecessary characters and stupid bad guys. and PLEASE.. no more love interests for Frank. Just let him be bad ass and kill more people. Less scenes of him prepairing his arsenol and more scenes of him using it.

But the question about a comic movie is....Should we pandor to the masses or stay true to the roots....And I don't think they wanted another Punisher (1989) on their hands......All action....and greasy Dolph Lundgren butt LOL . This time they had to make you care about his family and hate the people that did that too them. I think it worked.

X-Men used the same formula.....Boring character orgin first movie....Lots of Action the second.

The one movie they *might* be making is the Deadpool movie. If they make that movie.. I will be first in line. They will more than likely fuck it all up.. but if done right.. the "merc with a mouth" would make a kick ass movie. Eminem would be a good Deadpool (im partially serious) LOL.

I just got back from the movies.
I enjoyed it although there were things I wish they wouldn't have done.
I enjoyed beginning, island killing spree, the russian scene although the guy doesn't look much russian haha (I am sure he doesn't speak any either :P ) -- that scene was funny.

In the end M16 shooting with his kevlar on, I enjoyed that. I didn't like the way he killed the bad guy in the end though. That looked just plain cheesy.
