This one looks like it kicks even more ass. Looks like a lot more story, less cartoony violence. I can't wait...

WTF are you fools waiting for!!? You're missing out on one of the most awesome movies in a long time. Go out and rent the first dvd NOW then go see volume 2. Trust me, you'll thank me later. Just keep in mind that it's not supposed to be absolutely serious, and that while it is an action flick it is also somewhat of an art film and an homage to/parody of old kung fu movies.
As for thoughts on the second one, I would have to say I liked the first one better but this was definitely a fitting conlcusion. They are really supposed to be one continuos movie anyway. I especially liked the fight in the camper, and I really wish the final fight had been longer. And oh man, the graveyard scene freaked me the f**k out! I almost had to get up and leave the theatre.

2. um... assasins kill who they are paid to kill. go fuckin rent "Assasins" righty-o?
3. obviously that makes her more fucked up. welcome to the big bad world where people are ruthless killing machines and motives are sooo 20th century. go rent Scream. :) :D

rental perhaps.. I dunno, I was sorely dissapointed in it... have been dissapointed with qt's work since "jackie brown"
dude needs to lay off the drugs long enough to make something worthwhile again.. it's basicly one of those types of things you'd hear some drunk person in a bar say.. "wouldn't it be cool if... blah blah blah" and QT overheard it and thought.. I can do that! and went off in a drunken stupor and signed a deal to have a movie written

I don't remember that part.
I remember a bodyguard japanese girl who stabbed a guy at a bar that wanted to have sex with her. I don't think he was her brother.

Just got back tonight from seeing it. Great movie to conclude the pair. I think that I will watch them back to back next weekend on the projector in the garage to get the full effect.

Whats this stuff about the movie Hero. I keep hearing about it like theyre going to make it, but I saw this movie a long time ago. I dont really pay attention to the making of movies and all that jazz but is this the movie youre talking about?

Kill Bill isn't for everyone. It seems either people love it or hate it.
I love it but I was a fan of the Saturday afternoon karate flicks and cheesey movies in general. If you are looking for a modern action flick you will be very disapointed. If you are looking for more action like the first then 2 will disapoint you. I personally liked 2 a little better than 1 I think for more in depth story but both rank very high at actually acheive a place in "Bunnys DVD Collection". A very coveted and lonely place in the world.

I didn't understand Quentin's conection in Hero. it was directed/co-proiduced? by the Crouching Tiger guy and looks very much in the same vein but they dropped Tarantino's name at the beginning of it. Looks interesting, but so did the remake of Iron Monkey and that sucked baboon balls so I am a little hedgey.

I think that just makes it a Quentin Tarantino movie

Yeah bunnyslayer, Quentin is basically bringing to America in it's uncut form. Much like Iron Monkey (the same thing, he was allowed to get it here uncut) That's about the only involvment he has in it, which is why it says "Quentin Tatantino Presents," rather than "A Quentin Tarantino Film." I saw the movie and I thought it was great. I'm sure you can find it in a video store or maybe netflix. Then again, I prefer subtitles over dubbing.

I'll have to check that out than thanks. I do not like dubbing unless I feel like laughing at something.
My favorite comment on Kill Bill vol 1 was from one of my slaves at work.
Slave: "Kill Bill sucked."
Bunny: "Really. I told you that you wouldn't like it. So why didn't you like it?"
Slave: "They talked too much and didn't need to explain the bad guys so much."
Bunny: "So you didn't like it because it had too much character development and a storyr?"
Salve: "Yeah. All you need to do is tell that the assassin is good and then get to the good stuff."
Then 10 minutes of more inane bable emerge from the slave's lips as Bunny tries to end the conversation before he has to kill all idiots before him with his axe.

I just saw it. I really liked it, MUCH BETTER than the first one in my opinion.
I loved the arrogance of Mai Pai.

I have caught myself doing the Mai Pai beard thing. Kinda funny once I realised what the hell I was doing.
