OK, I played it, pretty cool. A little choppy, prolly becasue I loaded it on the machine I smashed the other day

Play the Demo at Gremlin's Lan.

I thought it was pretty cool. The water effects were neat, and to me it had an overall good feel to it.

Sucks that the game won't be out till the end of the month.

My first impression playing the game is mixed. It has a intesting mix of weapons and maps with some very cool effects. But the game physics are strange and IMO made the game almost impossible to play. I hope the production game has better physics.

I like that it's really bright and very open levels.. The game play seems a little strange being as bullfrog mentioned the physics are sort of a mix.. Some stuff is superhero like, then you fall 2 feet and I guess shatter both legs being you die.... heh

The single player demo was pretty fun, even if they AI did suffer a little bit from the typical cpu AI of watching their buddies get shot but they rush forward..

over all I think it will be a fun single player game and maybe good for a lan or 3..

I like the game, but I almost prefer the Unreal fall from 20 feet and lose 10 health over a 12 inch / 50 health.

Am I the only one less than amazed by this game? It was allot of fun to LAN with.. but so was T3.. shit.. any games fun to LAN with if everyones doing a good deal of bull shiting while playing it.

Yeah it was. Complaining about how one keeps getting sucked into a hole in the ground and having to re-start the game to keeps from endlessly falling never *EVER* gets old. And all those bad-ass weopans are just fun to bitch about. That ass of a rocket launcher was impossible to miss with.

sure it was.. even with just 4 of us in the game it was pretty fun.. The down side was the crappy maps and most had no idea where to go or what to do in most of the game modes..

Still think that game has on the best deaths over all.. I mean just black screen, dead... Sort of how it would be if you got blown up by a rocket..

far cry was fun at the lan but not sure it's 4+ gigs of fun over all for mutiplayer games.. Not a lot of maps but it should hold us over for a LAN or two..

Any game that has a button set up for "holding breath while under water" is just silly.. who the fuck needs to be prompted to hold their damn breath? The tropical island maps get old real fast too. Give me a building or two.. at least a fucking cave.. something.

i just got a great score on far cry, 79 kills, and the closest amount to me was 29 and 31 and than i had this gayass glitch that froze me into the ground. well i took 5 pictures of it and i cant find them in my far cry direxctory or else i would show you guys. YES, it's all about fun. Everything else that is NOT fun is just a waste of time. No matter how bad the game is if it is FUN it is damn worth it.
That's what I've said since I've started lanning.
I mean, T3 is a horrible game, but on the LAN it was nothing but fun...if you are into it (maniac with a huge gun and a sadistic smile who never releases the trigger :rolleyes: ) that is all it takes to ultimately enjoy something.
I don't even look at games I don't like and wouldn't enjoy.
Besides, I believe that the best players of specific games are what they are because they actually love the gameplay.

I don't even play DC outside any lans, but when I take that chopper in the air it is natural fun and it flows by itself when I don't even have to think about it.
Same goes for the AvP, people say: "GET A LIFE" or some shit. Wtf? I've only installed the game today, I just enjoy the adrenaline rush/aliens/big guns/and bloody action haha
That's all that kept me going, not even trying to be the best, it's just about fun and enjoying it--be creative.

I just beat the single player, and I'm glad I did. I think the physics have had a major tweak since G.remlin's lan. The object interaction is almost as good as in the HL2 vids. You do get damage from falls (over 15' or so), but not very much. The graphics on some of the larger parts of the island are better than any I've seen before (although you need a pretty good system for it). There's not a whole lot of different types of enemies, but the AI is interesting. Anyone who's gotten as far as the larger Hulk-type trigens, you'll notice that the big ones are giving the little ones orders. It's no Half-Life, but this is the most I've enjoyed a single player FPS in a long time.
