I think halo 2 will suck because with all the new games coming out ....they have surpassed halo 2.....just think half-life 2 was better than halo when they were going to release it , and now they are delaying again and there fixing it up more and adding to it. i think halo 2 will go away very fast...ill prolly give it a rent though...:rolleyes:

After the original you don't even need a reason to say that the second will suck. Say for example, the quarterback kicks the living shit out of a skinny geek kid. Two months later, taking bets on quarterback vs. geek, you would be an idiot not to pick the geek as a winner? I mean sure, the geek could have been doing martial arts training and become a killing machine, but even if that's the case you would still have a pretty good excuse for picking the QB. Let's compare it to say...HL2, like you suggested.

HL2: You are a scientist who for some unknown reason is able to kill aliens where all others have failed.

Halo 2: You are a Super Human Bad Ass trained to do nothing but destroy everything non-human in your path.


HL2: You'll probably get an additional Scientist to back you up, or some "troopers".

Halo 2: One word..."Marines".


HL2: If it's based on the first one the only objective here is to find some asshole in a suit, that you eventually end up working for anyways.

Halo2: Objective - Save the Earth like every Bad Ass does.

blahah... pretty funny.. I was able to get pretty far in that too..

as for the game.. I think it will sell well for the Xbox and so on. Odds are when it hits on the PC it will be like when Halo one came out..

As in no one really seemed to care. Maybe if if they throw in some more maps, tune up the game so more can play it on a wider range of cpu and so on it could be a hit?

I mean how much did we even play it at the LANs? Once? Twice? Even then most quit mid-way into any level. Heck the Xbox versions got more play at the LANtro lans when we shot it on the wall then the PC version did once it came out..

Halo2 xbox = hit
Halo2 cpu = yawn

Too many other good games out on the PC for Halo 2 to make much impact.. IMO of course.. Keep in mind, as I have said before, I was 100% sure Titanic would flop too. heh

sonkev you need to think of something, of what are you comparing to. You are comparing PC games to Console Games. So you can't compare halo2 to Doom3, HL2. Halo2 is going to look cool andwill be fun

well the one thing I look forward to about Halo 2 is owning anasazi in it..

Oh sure, it's fun to own him in any given game but in the games he really likes it's just that much better....

Sort of like robbing a rich man is fun but robbing a homeless man of everything he owns is just better..
