Its probly cause you missed those mags even though you where signed up, they had your registration but didnt send you those mags.

Last time I had that happen to me I was like cool a free mag. Then i was like damn this is really cool a second one... then next thing ya know I got hit with 3 bills for the supposedly free mags....


I just typed out a letter and sent it in lieu of a check with the invoice. haven't heard from those publishers again.
