ok, so while i was cleaning stuff out of my hdd, i seem to have deleted a file known as xmlparse.dll , cause this little error bubble pops up everytime i start up my comp. i entered xmlparse.dll into google, and found a site, and downloaded the file...but i do not know where the file goes. does anyone know where the file goes? BTW: This problem occured within the past 3 days.

Also, not AS important, but when i start up my computer, i also get an error message that says something like Error on C Drive and i just ignore it, and click "OK" . Does anyone know what's going on here? BTW: This has been occuring for the past 2 months or so.

Thanks in advance.

Ah yes, the classic dumb ass move of cleaning files out by going "I'm sure I don't need that" or even better knowing you don't need files 1-34 but opps, ya drag a box around 1-36 and you need 35 really bad. heh..

After I once deleted win.ini or win.com or something like that I needed I have never really done any clean up by way of random clicky clicky...

While I have NO idea where your file goes, odds are if I seach for it on my XP pro box, it should tell us. Errrr I think. hehe

seaching, searching.... ok I don't have that file at all :)

If you google search in the news groups everyone said it's part of the AOL/icq/yahoo messanger programs. So when those load at start it's not finding the file. Errr maybe reinstall those or delete them at the start up if you don't run them anymore.

Errors on C Drive= the suck. So i would check for errors on it. Right click on the C drive then go to properties then click the tools tab and click check now under Error-Checking. Can't you do anything your self.

bite me whore.. I did help you some what,.. not my fault you are too dumb to click a whole 3 links over on google and get your answer..

"If you google search in the news groups everyone said it's part of the AOL/icq/yahoo messanger programs"

what do I have to do? Come over there and spoon feed you like a baby? Ok I will try again and I will go slow, really slow, blue dirt sort of slow..

FIRST I searched for your xmlparse.dll file on my system an XP pro set up..

HEY look there, I DO NOT HAVE it.. Now read that again 15 times oh slow one.. Get it?? I don't have it on the system? Do you get what that might sort of kind of mean?!? I don't have the file and I don't have your problem.. GASP!!!!! Gears turning, maybe it shows it's not part of the base XP!!? So it's from **Gasp** software you installed!! Or at the least one can not have the file and not get an error.

Ok so then I took a few seconds and did the google search for you that you were too dumb to do.. OMFG!! There it is right there.. Everyone says it's part of Yahoo messanger etc..

Google search for "xmlparse.dll missing start up" (http://tinyurl.com/2buc9)

Link to MS knowledge base (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q312493)

You are now on my shit list, welcome to unfair BS from me for the next 6 months.

I found the file 3 times on my computer.

A 100KB xmlparse.dll in my c:\Program Files\AIM directory
A 61KB xmlparse.dll in my c:\Program Files\ICQLite directory
A 52KB xmlparse.dll in my c:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger directory

So being they are 3 different sizes, it leads me to believe it isn’t just a cookie-cutter file. You’re best bet would be to re-install whichever of those programs you’re running.

Normally blue_dirt would ask me for help, but these days he doesn't like to because he's knows I'll pull a deadlamb on his ass and make him feel stupid.

By what methods were you "cleaning your hdd" ??

um, i first went to Add/ Remove Hardware, or Programs, or whatever, and Uninstalled alot of stuff i don't use. then, i went into the C Drive, and manually deleted all file / file folders that did not get taken away when uninstalled / stuff i didn't think i needed. then, i went to my Recycle bin, and Emptied it (3,5 GB's).

In Deadlambs defense ( Can't believe I'm doing this ) I am with him on this one. I'm always amazed at how fast people look to others for solutions without beating their head against the wall first.

I feel I'm a pretty advanced computer user ( not so much on the network side of the house ) and sometimes spend days or even weeks trying to find a solution out on my own. I find that 1. searching over and over helps me learn new things as i go and 2. when I finally find it, I retain the information better for future use

O soooo many times am I the "go-to-guy" with people.

If I ever ask you guys for help, you can bet your sweet ass that I will list out what I tried first so I don't get the " Deadlamb" reply.

So what am I trying to say?

DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH AND LEARN SOMETHING TODAY! ASK FOR HELP ONLY IF YOUR ABOUT TO COMMIT SUICIDE.

Yes blue_dirt is stupid and doesn't take the time to search the web for help. He is LAZY I could see if he needed help because his computer crashed and wouldn't restart. Here's my rule. Try to fix it yourself first, and try as many ways possible. Then ask for help. Because you don't want to take time to figure it out. From now on blue_dirt FIGURE IT OUT YOURSELF DUMBASS.
