Hey Guys,

I just bought myself a new Antec Plusview 1000 AMG case. It has front mounted usb ports and firewire, my motherboard has a connector for it to. But all the wires and such are all seperated and such, I have no idea what order they need to go in to work. Can anyone help me out?

By any chance, did that new case, or your motherboard come with a manual? If not, is it something you could d/l from the mfr's website?

Does the connector on the antec case have the pins numbered? If so, your motherboard should also show you which is pin one. From there you should be able to count the pin number to the corrisponding plugs. The reason why the connectors on the case are like this is because there is no standard for the motherboard connector. Unlike IDE or SCSI or serial connectors...

Go to your motherboard makers website and get the manual...it should have the pin out for you.

Take a look at the connectors on the case, and what your mobo manual also says. The two things should coincide pretty clearly. I connected my ASUS A7N8X mobo to my Chenming case (aka Antec, aka Chieftec, etc.) and the USB works fine. If you're not absolutely sure, don't do it.
