NBA Finals 2011 - Hater thread

ok well NBA finals started up.. Time for my -fair weather, stop watching the NBA years ago after the good team players left etc etc level of fan- to start watching again..

Anyone else care about the NBA finals? I'm going haterade Miami being they built a merc like team and I HATE that about pro sports..

randomness: Last time at the gym, guy rant rant RANTING at the tv in the locker room while watching the eastern finals of Miami and Chicago.. No big deal, I'm guessing he is talking to someone on a cell phone headset in his left ear..

go out.. i'm lifting, guy @$%$#@ ends up near me rant rant RANTING at the tv.. I mean "@$%@$# up 11 points and can't put a team away".. etc etc.. then he gets little racist with monkey this and that.. oooooook, time to MOVE away from the white trash fat ass ranting on his phone..

walk away, look back /matrix "there is no spoon".. being THERE IS NO PHONE/HEADSET.. guy is just a nut.... Once the game was over and Miami won to get into the finals he rants for like another 20min..

I don't enjoy the NBA for two reasons mainly. First, it is the most shamelessly commercialized "experience" that you can have at an event not called Nascar. Second is the way that they have been using evolving rule changes to nudge the game more toward the 100-120 point range. They did it to try and make it more exciting, but it actually makes it impossible to watch because someone is scoring a basket literally every 12 seconds of play time. I like college hoops because most of the players won't make it big and do it just because they like to play, and the games are way more defensively oriented.

yeah the rule changes help out the -isolate then charge the rim- play style that is pretty much the norm in the NBA now. I'm always going to wonder just how many more points some of the NBA hall of fame level players could have scored if they had played will all these defense crippling rule changes.

as for the play offs.. GAME 1 = BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

Lebron was sort of monster too.. Guess that's why he earns a level of coin that lets him drop 170k+ on a one night bar tab..

Damn, every game this series has been good, like really good..
I'd still be watching NBA basketball if more games where like these but then again, welcome to the finals.

it should be at another level..
