Whats your opinion: BEst POwer Supplies?

Also, aside from Enermax, whats the best POwer supply. I'll berunning dual Athlon MP1800's with no more than 3 harddrives and 2 cd/dvd drives

500 watt PS fro 50 bucks....chances are that it's crap. I've got an Antec 430watt true power and it kicks ass. It's running a 3.0/800, 2 raptors, 3 WD 8mb cache drives, 9800pro, lights, etc.... I've never had one problem, except when I plugged it into a certain pre-production motherboard. It didn't like that so much, but other than that it's been gravy.

I'm using a Thermaltake Pure Power 420watt.
It's been good to me so far.

I’m a fan of the Fortron power supplies for a number of reasons-

1. They are made by the same company as Sparkle power supplies, but they are cheaper.
2. They always exceed their ratings. (Their 400watt delivered 450+ consistently while most other 400watt power supplies were lucky to actually deliver 400)
3. One of the most efficient power supplies (Ratio of Power input to power output).
4. Very reasonably priced.

Their 530watt version goes for 69.99 on newegg.

Heh, I've been thinking of getting a vantec stealth 530 as my next psu. Honest player has one and he highly recomends it.

I have used Antec, Enermax, Sparkle and Fortron without issue. Of all of them I have to say I like the Antec the best. They do the little things that their product work better. Things like longer wires on the molex connectors, braided wire-wrap, thermal control fans, etc.

Well the new Antec have also included powersupplies for SATA drives as well. And also they have a molex connector on the outside just in case you want to plug something like lights for eg.

I have an Antec, haven't had any problems with it . Runs all the crap that i have in my case.
