WOO WOO. Sharks are 2 seed in the West and had the best March ever in NHL history. They have great goal tending, scoring, leadership, and most importantly are playing as a team. They are arguably the hottest team in sports right now, and if they play as physical and stand up for each other as they did against Dallas in the last game of the season I think us fans are in for a great playoff run.
The first round the play the Calgary flames, and this series has so much back story its endless. This is going to be a hard physical series I personally see the Sharks winning in 5 games.
For those of you who are lucky enough to live in the bay area, you guys get Randy Hahn and Drew Remenda to commentate your game, instead of the crappy Versus crew that I will get to listen to. Here is the Comcast Sports Net Bay area T.V. schedule.

Meh, why flame at all? Eastern wussie style hockey will fade quickly in the finals.
Nothing to get excited about. :pet:

That Dallas gamer surpassed the Candeans game from earlier. That 1st Playoff game was bizarre, 2nd game looked like the team I remember.
Can't wait till tomorrow.

Well, that was just beautiful. At least I know I will be able to enjoy my summer earlier with the Ducks fans.

CALGARY, Alberta - Evgeni Nabokov didn't sugarcoat it.
"It takes men to play this sport, not a bunch of boys," the Sharks goalie said Sunday night. "And we looked like a bunch of boys out there and they looked like a bunch of men. Now we have to turn it around and respond."
Nabokov and the Sharks had just watched an early 3-0 lead turn into a 4-3 loss in Game 3 of their playoff series with the Calgary Flames. And it was Flames right wing Owen Nolan doing the damage to his former team once again, rifling a 34-foot slapshot through a crowd to beat Nabokov on the short side.
"We just can't let those type of games slip through our hands," Nabokov said. "I don't know how many times the lessons need to be learned."

Nabby is right. After that 3rd goal the Flames played hard, tough hockey and were all over the puck. The Sharks played keep away for 2 1/2 periods, and not very well. They were slow, they didn't forecheck and their passing was horrible. If they don't step up and play hard, controlling hockey in this next game their season is ending quickly.
The Duck are falling apart for a differnet reason: They play as hard as anyone, but they are completely undisciplined and are finally paying the price for it.

God I'm really kinda disappointed in the sharks play last night. They played 3 minutes and 33 seconds of great hockey, then it went all down hill. They pressure and speed just were not with them. It is kinda disturbing that big players like Campbell, Thornton and Cheechoo are not stepping up. Poor Patty yesterday really took a beating, but he got a goal. They might want to juggle some lines around because Michalek is not doing anything on that first line. Put Clowe or Roenick out with Cheechoo and Thornton. Try to get some chemistry going. The flames are playing physical, and the sharks need to not only match the physicality of the play, but also take it a few steps higher. If the sharks can keep a good fore check then they score. It was a tad frustrating yesterday, and Nabby's words sum it up perfectly.

Yeah I was really pissed at how we played again. I get tired of our prevent defense crap. Plus is anybody but Marleau, Clowe, Pavelski, Mitchell, Brownie, and Nabby going to play? Can we get Bernier back? My usual hatred of Offensive Defensive is compounded by the fact that Campbell is a Queen when it comes to taking a hit. And what happened to McClaren? I almost want the Semen-ov in there in his place.. .which is a horrible thought. Is Thorton still on the team? There is some ass-clown wearing his sweater out there, but that guy sucks monkey scrotes so I know that isn't big Joe. Just a retchid performance in 2 of the 3 games., Wonder who will show up tomorrow.

I listened to the last 7 minutes of the game, and man Murray taking the shot that is tipped by Thornton with a few seconds left. I wish I could have watched it, but such as life. 2-2, lets hope San Jose can lock this thing up in 6.

Damn that was a good game! Sharks started a bit slow but held on through the end of the 1st period trailing 0-1. Second period was very good - they gave up a goal but scored one and really dominated the 2nd. They owned the 3rd period, scored 2 goals (the last, as already pointed out, with seconds left) and finished the game holding Calgary to a total of 10 shots on goal. THAT was a great team effort!!!

Sad thing is I am not brimming with confidence. Thought they had things figured out in game 2 and then they sucked it up in game 3. So game 5 will prove things to me one way or the other. Win or lose, if they bring it in 5 thats all I ask. But anymore of these little puss-fests and they should just hang up the spurs because that won't get it done.
To be honest, I think they will be fine now. Lots of little things appeared after that false bravado to start the game off.

Quite the game today. They really won it because they had the fore check working in full effect. Cheechoo was unbelievable on the fore check. 2 of the goals were because he was pressuring the puck behind the net. That pass by Thornton was just perfectly fluttered to Patty. Campbell had a pretty decent game and was stepping up into the play and didn't appear as shaky as he did in the past few games I saw him in. Lets hope they can clinch this thing Sunday.
How great would it be if the Predators won against Detroit? Sharks play the Predators in round 2 would be friggin awesome. Not to mention a huge upset. Oh how I love playoff hockey.

That 2nd game in a row pretty muched answered my doubts... 80% of em at least. Team cam eto play and lookie what happens. Hopefully they are done with all that other crap and keep playing well.
I would love to see Nashville in the 2nd. Plus with those bitches down south getting fisted by the Texans, the 1st round could turn out just right. I want a picture of Pronger crying when they get done losing. Of course Bertuzzi will probably lose it and beat a 3-legged dog who has its back turned to him with a newborn baby and overshadow everyhting, but I can still hope.

Up next Dallas. Time to kick some ass. Game 1 Friday 7pm Versus. Good game 7 tho. Glad to see J.R. step up, and really help lead the team. Glad to see the ducks out early too. No more Pronger. :)

I really can't wait for this series to begin. I hope Ott is still afraid of Thornton. Lets hope that some of the last game of the regular season will carry over a bit and we get a super physical series.
Also I laughed at this.

Ott is annoying, but not as much as that dipshit Sean Avery of the Rangers is. Ott at least plays good physical hockey. This Sharks/Dallas series should be awesome.

Yep that game was refreshing. Game 6 didn't even bother me for some reason. Dallas is going to be tough, but what game in the playoffs is ever easy.

This is most likely the best Hockey game I have ever seen in my entire life. Nabby's save has to be in the top 5 saves off all times for the rest of my life. Holy shit! Second period coming up.
Edit: If you are a sports fan I beg you to watch one of the greatest games ever. It is going into triple overtime.

That was an awesome game and the Sharkies did me proud. I thought we were going to get swept and we didn't and amde Dallas crap themselves. No cup this year, but that performance in the last 3 games should go a long way. Anyone hear what happened to Milan? Is it a concussion, shoulder? Hope he is allright.
:sadpanda: but hockey is over for 5 months... that always sucks. At least since no real sports on on until September, I get a lot of free time back.

I watched the game last night and I have to agree, they may not have won but the Sharks didn't go down weeping.
