I'm down. Hope they've got a modding contest. Any word on how this fits in with the Geforce lans? Is it replacing them? The verbage sounds like it might be a gpu launch event... or maybe it sounds like a mix of an expo and a lan?
No one knows if this is replacing the Gforcelans (well maybe the shadow knows...) ((If you get that your really fing old)). But it's supposed to be something like a a mega 10000+ lan, as it's trying to beat the dreamhack which has 8531.

It's a different event from GeForce: bigger, better, etc. Our ambassadors haven't mentioned anything about a launch event but we'll see. The top of the line G92 will be out before this event so I don't think they'll be launching any cards unless it's something brand new.

I think I'm going to fly into SJ for this.

Wikipedia says in 2006 Dreamhack broke 10k people in attendance.

I hope there's some cool stuff going down besides just games. Plus with that many people, it'd almost be like being online. Multiple game servers and you very well might not meet the guys you're playing with.

There's a Girl Gamer Zone Seat. Why the seperate seating I don't understand. Most of the guys at the LAN will be too scared to go up and talk to them in person anyways.
I'm gonna wait to sign up for this one since there's plenty of time to do it. People from here who decide to go, hopefully you guys will post in here so we can all sit with each other or at least close by.
Any plans on a lan mobile type thing for this lan?

I was pretty happy for Gremlins friend Jack.

It was this guys second LAN...he went to Geforce last year.

He won a video card an Antec 1000watt PSU....and then in the charity raffle that he bought 5 tickets for...He won a case, but gave that up when a second ticket of his was called next and he won an Alien-Ware system.

Great guy, really deserved it.

I had a good time at the lan checking out all the all the new graphical stuff,refrigerated powered systems and alot more presentations. I got my ass handed to me by a girl in the unreal tournament 3 competition. we had two rounds and i had a total of two points.Humble pie baby!! I did win a media thingy that allows you to use a remote and works well with media center. All in all I had a good time. I will go to the next one

I thought the overall event was awesome, regardless of whether or not I won anything (although the waiting 2 hours to figure out I won nothing at the end was lame). Played in the TF2 Tourney, got our asses beaten down by one of the top 3 finishing teams. Reptile is so good at soldier its ridiculous.

Will attend next year. Need to sit closer to you peeps I haven't talked to in 3 years.

Yes they were total of 4 CRT's that I checked in.. When we left the hall on the last day, there was one CRT that was left behind.

One dude I checked in had a cherry looking Apple 30" cinema display and a beat down eMachine, but I know better than to judge a PC by it's case. For all I know, he could have had had a Nehalem in there.
