I guess some corrections are in order as vengeance for the question thread shenanigans
ordinateur has no e
"je pense je veux l'alcohol." isn't much of a sentence. Should be a "que" in there somewhere or some such.
"Mod, il es tres drole. " - il form of etre is est
Pas de nouvelles, bonne nouvelles.

I can read French, I can generally write it, and I can speak it. But, I took it for 2 years in high school (uh... 5 years ago) and I'm taking beginnign French again. So while I have the highest grade in my class (approx 98% :D) I am starting at the beginning, so there's a lot of stuff I can't do yet. Such as past tense and there's a LOT of verbs and adjectives I haven't gotten down.
But, again, that's because it's my first semester. And I must admit, Torman and Termdec, you guys have actually managed to impress my snobby ass. I never thought you'd know French. Vita-man impresses me by default, being a liberal such as myself. ;)

Awww...
Yeah, I know what you mean about starting over in French. I took 3 years of it in high school (missed the first year, when I moved from the American school system into the British -- so I had a hell of a time "starting" in what was everybody else's 2nd year of French..)
Fast forward a few years, after 2 years of Engineering college in Colorado, I transferred to Texas to study computers. Texas has 2 years of a "foreign language" requirement for everybody.
Well, had I told them about my French I'd already taken, I would have had to take a placement test -- then started my 2 years from that point (duhhh -- NO!)
So, I started over. Breezed through the first 2 semesters (5 credit hours per, so almost twice as hectic as normal classes which were 3 credits). Got A's without studying (just "absorbing" in class). Second year, had to actually start learning (about 30% effort), so only got B's.
Barely ever had to open the textbook... :)
Of course, high-school French was 19 years ago, and college French was 14...
Damn, I feel old.
