simply wow.

Amazing.

Obviously, she has so little faith that the "masses" would even listen to her... that instead of selling 5 CD's at $10, she is desperately hoping to sell just one to some stupid rich person.

She's so dumb that she is collecting 8% sales tax from everyone (even those out of state/country).

This is the best part of her site for me...if she is only 'mostly' spending her time doing this, what else is she spending her time on?
:afro:

Marissa is mostly spending time recording, but will perform for an appreciative audience, who realizes the value of art, not commericalism. Marissa enjoys using ethereal-type voicings and unusual chordal structures on both the piano and guitar. Her voice is a very strong part of her musical expression

Odds are this is just a marketing spin for her of some nature. I mean history of music is more about it being a free form of folk art then any sort of $$$$$ level thing that has now been cheapened in some manner.

Every culture turned to music as a way to express and entertain when suppressed in some way, so her views on how it's now being sold too cheap is just BS..

Nope, odds are she is just like all those other unknown song writers, singers or people in bands. Just looking to make a name for herself and she could: A. be on the net, charging $5 and have no one buying stuff or B. be on the net charging $$$ and have no one really buying stuff BUT get her link posted all over the place.

if she really felt her music was worth so much as to not be wasted on the unappreciative masses, she would not link to mp3 samples.

Of course along the same lines of $$$ cd's.. IceT had talked about putting out a CD in how to pimp for years now. With a plan of charging $100 for it. Being "the game can't be bought, it can only be taught"

I think that if you raise the monetary value of something, it loses its artistic value.
