Can I post Images?
Images can indeed be shown in your posts. However, there is no facility at present for uploading images directly to this board. Therefore you must link to an image stored on a publicly accessible web server, e.g. http://www.some-unknown-place.net/my-picture.gif. You cannot link to pictures stored on your own PC (unless it is a publicly accessible server) nor images stored behind authentication mechanisms, e.g. hotmail or yahoo mailboxes, password protected sites, etc. To display the image use either the BBCode [img] tag or appropriate HTML (if allowed).

To post an image, you need to have them hosted on your own webspace. If you post images from other peoples webspace, that is in direct violation of the Internet Newbert Code: 1337 and is punishable by jail time.

Once you have the images uploaded to your own webspace, you can reference them by putting the following line into your post:

[code:1] [img]http://www.yourwebhost.com/your_picture_name.jpg[/img][/code:1]

Obviously replace the "yourwebhost" and "your_picture_name.jpg" with the correct names.

You are also using the wrong function...you want to use the one that says 'Img' and not URL. The Img function will display the URL as a inline image.

But also to "ditto" what Modfather is getting at....it's not cool to link pictures from other peoples websites. AKA...bandwidth leeching. If you are going to use someone else's website to host pictures make DAMN sure you have there permission to do it!
