This guys just a dick. As far as I am concerned the airport should have just started calling them "holiday" trees. Does this man really have nothing better to do than shit like this?

Apparently the Rabbi Removed his complaint today and asked the Port Authority to put the trees back up.
I wonder why he did that ( can you say "overwhelming pressure")

actually it was the airport who went all PC happy
he only said it would be nice to show off other religions and cultures. not to take down the nazichristiansdom.

Right, this happens every year, some group of people is always going to have some problem with merry christmas being written on a store's window or x-mas trees in a public area, and they always threaten to sue.
Put a manora up and you have pissed of christians, put a x-mas tree up and you have pissed off Judiasts, you souldn't have to take any holiday decorations x-mas or other wise down every time someone threatens to sue. Feel free to start your own airport and put up all the manoras up you want.

Did you read the article? He retained a lawyer and threatened to sue them. He did not just drop this idea into their little idea coffer at the front door.

The problem isn't that people get pissed off about it - the problem is all of the political correctness that has turned this country to shit IMO. Someone figured out that you can sue people if they do something you don't "like" or "believe in" and to me, it's repulsive. This country was founded on diversity - and we have lost our roots.

Taking the trees down doesn't solve the bigger problem. What would solve the bigger problem is having judges throw out frivilous <sp?> lawsuits when someone gets "offended". Accept the differences in different cultures - and *gasp* lifestyles (I can't believe I just said that :D).
Still, I can't wait for Thurs nite - I'm going to make sure that EVERYTIME you drag a pot, you get a good old fashioned "Merry Christmas!"

Rabbi Elazar Bogomilsky, who made his request weeks ago, said he was appalled by the decision. He had hired a lawyer and threatened to sue if the Port of Seattle didn't add the menorah next to the trees, which had been festooned with red ribbons and bows. (Watch how the rabbi's complaint left them treeless in Seattle )

Christmas has really turned into a cultural thing, rather than a religious holiday, so to take down the trees is like flying into LA and complaining about the Sun Dial Aztec art as far as I'm concerned.

That's what I was trying to get at, and whether you're actually offended or just trying to pocket a little cash, it souldn't matter.. .a tree is ultimatly a tree, if it were a swastika I would understand, but it's a damn tree with lights on it.
