yeah, me, the girl, starting a sports thread. But this is for hockey.

question, how the fuck did the ducks lose in OT to the Islanders? My only consolation is that on Sunday when we beat the Stars we'll be back ahead of the Sharks, where we belong.

I'm sure few on here care, but I have to brag that I got tickets to see the Minnesota Wild @ the Ducks in November. And I got really good seats too. I've never been to a professional sports game. /randomness

bring binoculars if you have a pair, not to watch the game but to people watch everyone else on the other side of the sporting venue. Oh sure, you think the game will hold 100% of your interest but trust me, at some point "wtf is that person over there doing!?" will take over..

something about the effect of beer on large groups..

as for randomness.. I've only been to around one sporting each of the main sports outside of basketball, in that case it's 3 kings games. Only been to one rock concert too.. For some reason the live events are just not my thing I guess.

The Ducks lost because they dropped the "Mighty" from their name. Not that they didn't suck before, but still. :P

If the seats are even 1% better than the Sharks Arena then they'll be good. When Bryan and I went we discovered that the seating in the Sharks arena was so horrible that you could trip and fall 100' down and only 3' to the left or right. Worst seating evar. Not to mention the shitty beer and drinks. I never truely hated a hockey team until I went to a San Jose Sharks game. No.....I'd cheer for the Whale (if they brought them back) before I'd cheer for the Sharks.

Yes, I was upset when I heard that. They will always be the Mighty Ducks to me.

2 Shitty upper level corner arena seats for the sharks: $117
2 excellent first row of the upper level, mid center arena seats to the Ducks: $107

The Ducks have the greatest website ever and there's two excellent features on it: You can enter your seat # and get a 180 degree view from your seat so you'll know exactly what you will be able to see. And, you can buy tickets from the season ticket holders, so there's no risk of getting fake tickets through scalpers on EBay. The Sharks have neither of these features on their site.

I was going to get the shitty tickets to see the Ducks Vs the Sharks in San Jose but decided it wasn't worth the money. However, when I visited the Ducks site, I found those awesome tickets for a game the week we'll be in Anahiem for GenCon, so it's pretty much destiny that I be there.

pfffffttt. and just how does showing a guy 180 degrees towards the front help him know what sort of up skirt peeper action he might be able to see over his shoulder?!!

worthless!! That site should have an 360 degree view and all the seat behind a ticket holders seat should be filled with underage cheerleaders. Note I said cheerleaders, not the bulk subwoofer like "dance squad" that tries to act like they are cheerleaders but they are so so not..

Where are you getting your tickets? I had perfect lower level tickets (halfway up almost directly on the bluyeline) for 65 bucks? This is the Sharks as the Ducks will always be poop. :D  Went to opening night on the 5th. Too much fun. I'm glad the Anaheim Kings are out of my sports radar so I will not be tempted to waste any hockey nights on them.
