View Full Version : Suggestions on software to import from a DV cam
Trying to import from my DV camera (Canon ZR10) so I can burn a SVCD. Any suggestions on what sw to use for the import? I am downloading a trial version of Ulead DVD Movie Factory (also does SVCD's).
Thx

to my knowlefge, you need some sort of capture card, or an ilink, which connects through a usb port in your comp. that would we the easiest solution :)
Thx, yes, a capture card is an option, but you can also import video via firewire directly from a vid cam.
Anyway, I imported this one hour tv show using ulead moviefactory ver 2.0.
Now, to edit out the commercials...
Their help menus suck ass, in both the app and on their website.
I tried both extracting video (supposed to do this to keep the sections you want to retain) and that fails to remove them from the one hour clip.
Tried spliting the video into more clips and deleting the commericals, and this is where their app really, really sucks.
When I click on a clip in the clip area, it copies itself and appears to delete the previous clip, very bizarre.
Anyway, there is a free download from their site if anyone is interested
